The Elite & U19 Track National Championships is New Zealand’s premier national track cycling event, attracting New Zealand’s top track cyclists. The event is an opportunity to showcase cycling, which aids the growth of New Zealand’s Cycling Culture, and BikeNZ’s mission of having more people riding more often.
The event includes four days of intense racing for Elite & U19 grades, men & women. In 2015 and 2016 the events will be based at the Avantidrome, Cambridge. This event attracts New Zealand’s top track cyclists who, following on from their successes at the Commonwealth Games, will be vying for selection in their build up to the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, making this event attractive to spectators and commercial sponsors.
The Age Group & Omnium Track National Championships includes five days of intense racing for the top track cyclists in age group categories U15, U17, U19 and Masters grades, men & women with riders in each category tightly contesting their respective age group titles combined with the Elite Omnium event. For 2015 both of these events are schedule to be held in the Avantidrome, Cambridge.
